Pros
Duluth Pack has a great history and a pretty decent customer base. My coworkers at the time were hands down the saving grace of working there. The discounts didn't hurt.
Cons
For a company based on the heritage and craftsmanship of the original bags, the new ones don't reflect anything like the original quality. More-so, a giant wall of generic "we slapped our logo on this" T-shirts and a bunch of kitchy items has mad it clear: it's basically a gift shop profiting on the company that once was. Corners and steps have literally been cut out of bags to make them faster. Advancement happened quickly mostly due to folks leaving. It's pretty clear that all the profits this company are getting are going to the owners, nothing else looks like it's getting any love. Oh, and the factory? Sure, it's the 'original' space. Complete with the dust and mold from about 100 years go. One of the saddest things was touring that tiny space and watching all the old ladies crank out bags and complain all day. I've never seen such a sad and depressed work environment. Even the mural that said 'Duluth Pack' facing the highway has been painted over. It's like they don't want anyone to know these bags are made on one of the shabbiest spaces in the neighborhood. Just down the road is a brand new gloriously remodeled space for Frost River. I think I'd rather work there.
