EMD Electronics Response

It is great to hear you value the people you work with at EMD Electronics. Strong collaboration and mutual respect are key to how we want teams to operate. We also understand that limited office locations can mean longer commutes and additional travel time. Site footprint and hybrid arrangements depend on business needs and role requirements, but feedback like yours helps inform ongoing discussions on how we can make ways of working more practical. Please continue to share your perspective through your manager, HR, or the Employee Engagement Survey so we can keep improving the employee experience.

Pros

Higher pay than some industries in the area.

Cons

I can only speak for the Blending Department. It is divided into two areas. Germaine is all but dead due to the lack of availability of Germanium Tech. Arsine is run by an egomaniacal supervisor and engineer. The two of them maintain unrealistic expectations for the operators. There is a sense of a constant need to rush around and if anyone does not rush to their expectations, the operators are punished by means of being assigned undesirable jobs, even if unnecessary. Anything short of unquestioning obedience is met with ridicule or outright hostility. The management of Blending does not go over periodic performance evaluations with the operators, and thus, never reviews any issues that need to be addressed with the employees. Additionally, the supervisor is known to gossip about employees whom he feels are substandard to other operators in the department, creating hostility toward the operators in question. The supervisor behaves in an unprofessional manner toward the operators frequently, and does not hide the fact that he plays favorites. Overall, the environment of the Blending department is toxic.
