Pros

This was EP: A successful regional agency with a strong culture built on hard work, loyalty and the desire to grow.

Cons

This is EP: Losing the distinction between “growth” and “getting as big as possible, as fast as possible.” This is EP: Deciding to see if bigness is a thing that can be bought through flashy hires it couldn’t afford, and creating the capital for those hires by firing many dozens of loyal employees. This is EP: Discovering, in the most difficult ways possible, that shiny objects and inflated egos are no substitute for substance and character. This is EP: Adrift and afraid, devoid of culture or purpose, building a monument to its past in the back parking lot while its future becomes ever more uncertain.

Pros

-One of the healthiest agency environments I've experienced across multiple agencies and roles. -Leadership was overall accessible, self-aware and responsive to employee feedback. -Strong, authentic commitment to DEI, especially notable for a Southern-based agency. -Welcoming and inclusive team dynamics. I felt included from Day One into groups of long-tenured folks. -More sustainable work-life balance than is typical for agencies of similar size. -Regular trainings, agency events and knowledge sharing built a real sense of community. -Deep production capabilities which enables a "let's make this happen" mindset across the agency.

Cons

-Navigating resources and priorities could be challenging during busy periods (standard struggle for most agencies). -As a Southern-based agency, teams occasionally needed to overcome outdated regional stereotypes with new clients or partners. -Standard holding-company challenges around transparency, promotions and financials. -From an outside perspective, the recent Omnicom/IPG merger COULD have an impact on agency culture moving forward.
