Pros

This growing firm is led by some of the most capable leaders in the business. They are genuinely focused on the personal and professional development of the staff whilst fostering a team-focused culture in which every level is included in growth decisions at the firm. It's an exciting atmosphere of rapid growth, high performance, and merit-based opportunities which lays the foundation for personal career advancement within a company that is growing stronger with each quarter. The projects are high-impact and I love that the majority involve strategy for technologies that are not fully-baked creating a feeling of 'navigating uncharted territory' for the ultimate benefit of patients. Truly inspiring. In other words, we don't just apply ancient frameworks to me-too products, we are breaking new grounds along side leaders in industry.

Cons

The only cons are the growing pains. As the company scales it will need to acquire capabilities and infrastructure to support the growing consulting staff which will always create some friction. Yet, each bit of friction resulting from this just points to a future in which Promidian will be full-loaded to compete with top shops in biopharma consulting.

Pros

If you are looking for a company that is finally modernizing its technology stack, there is real funding and momentum behind the current "2026 Strategy." The previous CEO allowed a highly fragmented IT structure where business units operated in silos with no standard security or change control processes, which made day-to-day life a nightmare.

Cons

The work environment under the current CIO is incredibly toxic and hostile. The CIO relies on a management style built on fear, threats, and public humiliation. In team meetings, he routinely belittles his direct reports. If you fall behind on his aggressive timelines, he explicitly threatens that you will be "DOA" or tells you to "look for a job somewhere else", Furthermore, the primary IT strategy is aggressive cost-cutting and offshoring. The CIO has mandated a freeze on domestic hiring in favor of moving jobs to India, aiming to slash $20 million in labor. He operates with a blatant disregard for corporate governance, explicitly instructing his team to bypass standard HR and Finance checks because he views them . He even makes culturally insensitive remarks, once stating he didn't care if a vendor was "changing religions" as long as they delivered on time .
