Pros
The co-workers are the only good thing.
Cons
Lack appreciation of staff, no thank you, not even water in the building for staff but faucet water. Appreciation is being forced to go a picnic (pre-covid) or attend a zoom (covid) and eat a gross lunch or use your time to not to attend. We would appreciate just having the afternoon off! Supervisors get promoted to directors when they shouldn't be directors with no experience for the programs they are taking over. They are "being trained" but it's a joke because they don't train anyone even the interns do not learn anything (RIC INTERNS STAY AWAY). They just throw you out there. Supervisors/Directors don't jump in when you are short-staffed. A lot of lack of communication. The upper-management should ask the staff that's actually doing the work if something will work instead of implementing a new description when the staff knows it will not work. Staff gets stuck doing the supervisors/directors jobs. Supervisors can hear an irate client and just sit back instead of assisting their staff member and that's if they're in the building. Supervisors/Directors always working remotely and not available but not using their time. Staff gets overworked with no extra compensation but the 2% COLA.
