"Old school" management doesn't manage at all. Surprisingly an old company like Echelon has managers that inept and unable to manage at all. Echelon is a purely reactive company with so little strategic planning that is difficult to fathom why they haven't burned through their cash by now. Don't expect to be supported with any traditional coaching, team building, or other common leadership techniques. Forget about Management sharing anything strategic with the teams.
