Pros

-Remote -Bi Annual Trips/Conferences -Company Year End Shut Down

Cons

-Predominantly white employees (look at all the group photos). When they were making cuts in early 2023, the non-white people were the firsts to go. -Their firing process was harsh. They give no prior indication. A manager and partner hop on a teams call and tells you to shut off all your electronics and mail it back. They fired many people in this manner. -The compensation is NOT worth the amount of time and commitment this job requires.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on Glassdoor. We take this feedback seriously and are committed to ensuring Educe is a place where everyone feels welcome, and their opinions are valued. We’d like to address the concerns you've raised regarding the termination process, as well as diversity and inclusion here at Educe. At Educe, we use a continuous performance feedback approach. Our feedback process includes regular 1:1’s with managers, quarterly Performance Evaluation Questionnaires to gather transparent feedback from teammates and clients, and formal year-end reviews. When performance issues arise, we work closely with that individual to set clear expectations and regularly provide constructive feedback and coaching to help the employee improve. Any decisions that are made to terminate employment are not taken lightly and we conduct a thorough review of each situation before taking action. After a decision has been made and communicated, we do ask that equipment be immediately turned off and returned to us. This is for security and privacy reasons both for Educe and our clients. Additionally, diversity and inclusion are extremely important to us. We do not condone any form of discrimination, nor do we make employment decisions based on an employee’s race or ethnicity. We have strict policies in place to ensure that our termination process is fair and unbiased. Our employment decisions are based on performance, qualifications, and alignment with company values. We are always striving to improve, and I encourage you to reach out to us in HR if you would like to discuss anything further.

Pros

- Super supportive: Everyone wants you to succeed. Colleagues go out of their way to help and check in. Educe also sets everyone up with a mentor, and the managers truly advocate for you. - The work itself: I find helping clients implement their learning management systems to be very rewarding. Clients are generally very appreciative. You get a chance to work with a variety of people. Each client uses the system very differently, so there are endless opportunities for creative problem-solving. The work is collaborative, but does not feel like a school group project. - The environment: On top of the supportive nature, Educe works hard to make sure we also have fun at work. From virtual happy hours to our twice yearly retreats, Educe makes sure we have a variety of enriching and fun activities. Examples include axe throwing, Top Golf, bowling, escape rooms. - Transparency: I've never worked for a company that was so open and honest about how the business is operating. I always understand every decision they make because they do a thorough job making sure everyone is in the know and on the same page - Trust: They hire great people, and they trust them. When I was first hired, even though I was brand new, I got pulled into a few internal initiatives where they valued my opinion and took my ideas to heart.

Cons

They are working on adding in more diversity, but it is still a work in progress. They are also adding in new initiatives to bridge the employees who work in Bethesda together with those who work remotely. I think as these programs continue to grow, remote employees will feel more included.
