Not a great company - Senior Account Manager Electronic Tenant Solutions Employee Review

I worked at ETS for several years and it was a genuinely wonderful experience. Over time I saw the entire company get better and better at what we did and all while maintaining one of the most positive work environments I've ever been in. As a member of the development team I was well insulated from the sort of rash decision making and customer feedback that can make those roles more difficult. Our processes and procedures got better and better over time and expansion of QA team skyrocketed the quality of the code. We got support in pursuing other technologies or ideas outside of our normal development responsibilities. This time was great for personal and professional growth in tech stacks that we didn't use (yet or ever). Leadership was always practical, honest and understanding - even if they didn't always have the answer you wanted to hear. Coworkers were all around my favorite group of people I've worked with. There are a lot of long-term employees with the company (some since its founding) but it doesn't feel like nepotism or cronyism. These are enthusiastic and knowledgeable experts in their field. Some of the best people the company has lost are people who were there the longest.

Compensation didn't keep up with expectations/market (though starting compensation was certainly suitable). Organizational changes in recent years introduced new challenges Benefit quality deteriorated before I left. Have heard it may be getting better. Not a lot of room for advancement (at least in the development team). Senior is senior and there isn't room to grow beyond that. Not everyone wants to climb the ladder, though, so it may not be an issue (wasn't really for me).
