Pros

Everyone here is willing to help. Great company culture and shifting to a remote first model. We are largely remote but the teamwork is excellent. Promotions from within and willingness to move folks between depts as their career paths grow/change. PTO/sick time is comparable to others and a flexible work/life balance. Field teams are road warriors and travel very frequently, office teams work remotely and travel to the jobsites and leadership travels to various projects or offices to gather with local teams. The work can be challenging due to the nature of the projects and being the "last ones in last ones out" as is typical of AV and tech in the construction industry. We work on very cool projects and have solid customer relationships. I am here because of the people, the culture is unmatched.

Cons

The company has gone through a ton of change in the last 4 years and I feel we are now seeing the fruits of the challenging years. In years past processes were disorganized and management was working in silos. It was every man/department for themselves. In the last few years dept heads seem to have aligned and the message to employees has shifted for the better. The biggest challenge I face today is availability of labor resources when projects get to the same phase at the same time. They're working on scaling the teams up while ensuring it makes sense to do so.

Pros

- It’s no secret that Electrosonic does the coolest jobs in the AV industry. - Jobsites are often clean, granted… there is heavy construction too. PPE is always given when requested. Brand new. - Talented and enthusiastic co-workers. - If you are having a problem on site, wether it be a client, other trades, or even a coworker..IT WILL BE DEALT WITH. Don’t ask for help if you are going to regret it. - Travel to some incredible places around the USA and sometimes international - Hotel accommodations are alway decent. Sometimes even stellar. No motels. Ever - Training is paid for or reimbursed. - Downtime is paid. Many shops will bench you if work is slow, ESI will encourage you to complete training on downtime. - There is plenty of room for promotions and growth, as long as you are willing to be vocal. Your work speaks for itself, but you still need to follow up.

Cons

- As with any non-union shop, you have to negotiate your rate when you sign on. Set a goal/range and stick to it. The raises take a while, but they do come. Be patient or vocal. - Couple of years ago they changed from GSA rate per diem to a flat 65 when traveling domestically. Very disappointing. - Health benefits are not great, and very expensive if selecting a family plan. If you are flying solo or can stay on your spouses insurance, you should be okay.
