Pros

Was working at their AT&T callcenter in midtown. Great coworkers. Managers were easy to talk to and work with. Competitive pay for a very simple job that comes with many creature comforts and relatively large freedoms in the office. Other parts of Elgia are likely different. Stacy, the CEO, announced our layoff with 60 days notice. This is reasonable and professional considering the company is probably too small for it to have been required legally - two months is alot better than two days, or two hours to clean out my desk.

Cons

Hadn't even worked 6 months before the layoff. Direct management was rather disengaged and ineffective. No opportunity for advancement of any kind.

Flexibility with schedule. You are able to attend to personal matters.

Cons

Lack of training and communication. They just expect you to know what to do or reach out to your immediate supervisor. No guidance given.
