Pros
Flexibility - 2 days WFH per week and hours are flexible if you have appointments or family needs. The Team - There are some good and genuine lower level workers at the company that really try hard, unfortunately these are the people that get taken advantage of.
Cons
Ellison used to be an okay place to work, until they merged the UK and USA offices and then UK "leadership" (I use that word loosely) took over and ripped out the heart and everything that made Ellison what it originally was. Redundancies have become the new management tool at the company, 4 rounds in 3 years. Including multiple heavily pregnant women, all due to give birth within a couple of months of being made redundant. Good people with lives and responsibilities continue to lose their jobs whilst SLT continue to fly the globe in first class cabins, hiring expensive cars (and bragging about it), enjoying lavish overpriced meals and private office re-vamps. The CEO (Richard Birse) is nowhere to be seen and hasn't made any effort to support the company or show any remorse for those affected by redundancies in the last 3 years. It's rare to see him in the office once a month and never attends compulsory whole company meetings. Whilst good people continue to lose their jobs, CEO salary and bonus' only seem to increase year on year, you can find this information on the companies house website, as well as the negative earnings the company has reported in the last few years. Staff are overworked, underpaid and under appreciated. The company has nothing to offer its employees and has told many that there is no money for pay rises and rewards. People who were in teams of double figures or more are now struggling, some alone, and being told they cant' hire more members of staff, whilst the SLT team and finance team continues to grow with salaries of £60k+. SLT members joke/brag about putting massages and trips to Disneyland on the company credit card whilst travelling for work and spend their mornings at golf courses, then leave the office early. There are reviews on this page written by people who have been told to write good reviews to enhance the appeal of the company, an e-mail literally asking staff to do so was sent out. I would use common sense and see that the bad reviews outweigh the "good". To write a review that calls employees that have been made redundant "disgruntled ex-employees" pretty much sums up the attitude of those in cohorts to create the smoke and mirrors version of Ellison. Ellison has had at least 3 HR managers/directors over the last 4 years, all of who have left. This in itself is a big red-flag. Culture is often referred to in meetings, but the majority of staff would tell you that there isn't one. The office is deathly silent and often empty, and there are no out of office activities or get togethers of employees. Whilst there have been some challenging times for everyone over the last few years, Ellison and it's SLT team have been dishonest, enforced a blame culture on lower level employees and continue to deny that there is a problem at the company that needs addressing. They're cutting staff and pulling back on rewards and recognition all to ensure Senior level employees and shareholders pockets are protected. I highly doubt Ellison as its known will survive the next few years. The ship has hit the iceberg, get on the floating door whilst you can.
