Is this your company?
Pros
Great team, friendly and professional
Cons
None that I can think of
Pros
People in general were nice. And some of the projects and clients were interesting and good to work for.
Cons
It's not a place for real consultants. The few real management consultants that were hired didn't last long, and staff turnover is huge (25-30% in the period that I was there). There is a lack of strategic direction and a need for strong leadership that can make tough, consistent decisions. There was too much focus on getting things sold at any cost (unrealistic timelines / large discounts), leaving the project lead with the hard task to deliver on budget and often without the resources and/or resources with the right skills. People are not held accountable, with mediocre work and wrong behaviours not being addressed. It is therefore no surprise that the old nucleus of non-consultants is still there whilst more recent hires have looked elsewhere after a short lifespan at the firm.
Pros
+ They pay bonuses on time as they have promised (and if the company is doing financially well as it has lately done) + Flexible with working arrangements/life balance when they can + Good for average consultants as they can feel like stars at Ember
Cons
- Incompetent senior management who only care about revenues - No people or leadership skills in the management level - Only career opportunities on the lower levels - A lot talk about values but the managers do not live up to the Ember values so there's no point
