I joined Encompass as a support worker in 2018. I was fully supported with my choice to apply for a Team Leader posistion when it became available and this led me to successfully starting this role in March 2020. The support with this was second to none and I felt listened to and was put forward for extra NVQ training to support me in progressing further. I was then contacted my our Ops team as certain skills I had were noticed and a brand new role was created for me to help support the company in a different way. This has led me to where I am today. I would have never had thought my career would be where it is today and feel very lucky to be in the position I am with an excellent company.
Cons
When the pandemic hit and remote working started overnight, communication took a blow leaving our services feeling a little cut off from the Head Office and Operations team. However this was noticed very quickly and has only continued to grow leaving communication between services and Head office teams open, transparent and consistent.
