By working in healthcare you are directly, or indirectly, depending on your role, helping others. I do think the organization cares about

Expect lower pay raises if you are someone at the higher end of the pay scale. More emphasis on getting new hires to stay than loyal team members to stay. Pay can be competitive, but only for some jobs. With a bunch of mergers and other challenges, it is a bit chaotic with change and the "to do" lists are long. Not sure where this is all headed.
