Pros

I have learned so much about the solar industry and how it is impacting the real estate market. The company is an environment where employees are empowered and encouraged to learn and grow. It is great to be a part of the team that is working to improve solar valuation tools. The other employees are friendly and the office is in a great location in South Tampa.

Cons

I can't think of any.

Pros

Energy Sense Finance's mission is to provide access to solar energy to more people by providing the tools needed for an accurate valuation, a necessary component for gaining low cost financing. Our company helps to make it easier for homeowners to understand the value that solar panels will add to their homes, and also the money saved in utility bills. Knowing that I'm working to help increase widespread adoption of solar energy is great motivation. At ESF you can feel good about the work that you do. Other pros: Co-workers are nice and fun. The company has a startup vibe which is exciting and allows for great opportunity for hard working employees. The CEO is also big on learning, so if you don't know how to do something, you're given the opportunity to learn to expand your skill set.

Cons

As is the case with any startup, we're still dialing in all processes and procedures.

Pros

At least you found a job

Cons

The CEO has zero clue how to lead a software team, and little understanding of the software development cycle. The company takes years instead of months to write software, and he promises payment incentives that he never intends on keeping. He sets aside 30 percent of your wages as a "bonus" that you'll never receive. My recommendation is to be firm upon hiring and tell him you don't agree to that system. He will use it to pull a fast one on you and hide behind his lawyers. The owner is a great salesman, but a wolf in sheep's clothing. His giant ego is suffocating and the good advice he gets from his developers goes in one ear and out the next.
