Pros

The team is supportive, and the role provides opportunities for growth and creative problem-solving. The projects are engaging, and you can gain meaningful experience in your field.

Cons

The company struggles with stability, evident in layoffs, which can create uncertainty for employees. Nepotism is a concern, and communication between teams needs significant improvement.

Energy Service Partners Response

We appreciate your feedback about your experience working with us. It is great to hear that you felt supported and able to grow in your professional abilities. We always strive to make every business decision, whether about hiring, promoting, or exiting employees, purely on the basis of merit, and are sorry you felt uncertainty or unfairness about any such decisions - it doesn't do us any good to promote someone who hasn't fully earned, or isn't fully capable of, any role they are placed in. We recognize that team communication has been a challenge, and we're very excited about the initiatives we're taking on now, into 2025 and beyond to promote better interdepartmental relationships and secure long-term success for everyone we work with. Solar is a challenging industry, and strategic decision-making is frequent. We know the value of a clearly communicated vision to take these challenges in stride. Thank you for the suggestions and we wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

I really valued my experience working alongside such great leaders, specially my manager at the time. I have never felt more valued in a company than I did my time working at Energy Service Partners.

Cons

If my salary would have been a bit more competitive.

Pros

It has good remote work and good health benefits, good DEI

Cons

Although the company states that it supports internal mobility and advancement, in practice, such opportunities appear to be limited to individuals who are family members. Other employees often remain in the same roles for years without advancement. During 2020, we continued working through challenging circumstances without receiving raises. Many of us worked significant overtime to support the company’s growth, yet these efforts were met with minimal acknowledgment or compensation. When middle management was abruptly dismissed, the company did not promote existing team members into leadership roles. Instead, it appointed individuals with questionable qualifications, many of whom had personal or familial connections to the leadership. Over time, Human Resources was replaced multiple times, and significant funds were allocated to extravagant holiday events, while requests for cost-of-living wage adjustments were repeatedly denied. Eventually, entire departments were outsourced, resulting in the dismissal of long-standing, dedicated employees. These were individuals who had demonstrated commitment through consistent overtime, cross-functional support, and even personal efforts to promote the company’s products to family and friends. Their loyalty and contributions were disregarded in favor of cost-cutting measures.
