Pros

I like the combination of analytical thinking and practical business guidance, which is what tax consulting essentially is. Every week presents different financial situations that require careful evaluation. I have opportunities to solve complex problems and expand my understanding of tax regulations. I'm constantly expanding my knowledge about taxation and business operations.

Cons

You never fully learn tax regulations; they keep changing, and you must stay up to date.

Pros

Paychecks arrived on time, and the location was at least manageable.

Cons

- Everyone is expected to act constantly cheerful, as if genuine concerns are not allowed to exist. - Bringing up real issues immediately gets labeled as negativity or not fitting the so called culture. - People who point out problems are shut down, while management pretends nothing happened and moves on with forced smiles. - Over time, meetings become empty because no one sees a point in speaking honestly anymore. - The entire environment is built on a layer of artificial positivity that prevents real problems from ever being addressed or solved. - It becomes mentally draining to keep acting like everything is fine when it clearly is not.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that certain aspects of your experience met expectations, but we’re concerned by your perspective on the work environment and appreciate you raising it. At ETS, we strive to build a culture that is both positive and authentic, and that absolutely includes space for constructive feedback, differing viewpoints, and honest conversations. What you’ve described is not the experience we want any employee to have. We recognize that if employees feel their concerns are dismissed or not genuinely heard, it can lead to frustration and disengagement. That’s something we take seriously. Over the past year, we’ve made changes to strengthen communication channels, encourage more open dialogue, and ensure leadership is actively listening and responding to feedback. We also understand that culture should never feel forced. Our goal is to foster an environment where people can be candid, raise concerns, and work collaboratively to solve challenges, not one where anyone feels they need to put on a facade. Your feedback is valuable and reinforces the importance of continuing to improve in this area. We wish you the best in your next role and appreciate the contributions you made during your time with us.
