Pros

Some coworkers were good people. That's genuinely it.

Cons

Pay is embarrassingly low. Leadership is completely disengaged and makes hiring and firing decisions like they're picking what to have for lunch — no strategy, no consistency, no explanation. The CEO avoids any real conversation and lets other people deliver bad news so he never has to be accountable for anything. If you have a problem there's nowhere to turn and no one who actually cares. I don't know how this company keeps its doors open.

Pros

It's a high energy and supportive culture that feels motivating to skilled people who are committed to doing good work. Serious, yet fun technical problems to solve. Pretty good balance of ambitious effort without being unrealistic about what can actually get done. Having smart colleagues helps too.

Cons

Personally, I appreciate the amount of internal communication but could seem excessive to some. A bunch of the negative reviews here seem like the low performers that don't last long. I also appreciate that but could seem pretty relentless if you can't keep up.

Pros

EDO is a great place for motivated people looking for autonomy and broad impact. The people are smart, low-ego, and fun to be around. For a startup, the culture and work-life flexibility is unmatched in my opinion. There are many employees who have been there for 4+ years, which speaks to the level of employee happiness for the most part. The CEO is also one of the best I’ve worked for - he’s hands-on and inspires the rest of the company to rally behind his vision.

Cons

Cash comp is likely below market on the GTM side, but could be offset by equity. Like any startup, it can be overwhelming with lots of strategic shifts and very lean teams.
