Pros

You do receive a paycheck, and they have an ESOP.

Cons

Where do I begin? This is the most dysfunctional place I have ever worked at! I applied for a Business Development Associate position, however when I interviewed, I was told that I was more suited to be a Customer Service Supervisor. Um, what? I needed a job, so I reluctantly agreed to an entirely different position. Then, when I came in to pick up my offer letter, it stated my job title was "Customer Service Representative". When I asked why my title had changed yet again, they shrugged and said, "It's no big deal. Take it or leave it." Not a good first impression of your employer. There was almost no training provided for Customer Service, and if you ask any questions, managers get irritated with you. Because of this, you learn on your own by getting thrown into the fire. Managers also get upset if you have to take time off if you're sick or have to go to the doctor. Employee morale was really low when I was there. Often they would fire people, some who had been there for many years in order to "save money". Unfortunately, they got rid of some of the only nice, good employees there. If you like to work in a toxic environment where gossip and backstabbing are encouraged by management in order to get ahead, then this is the perfect company for you. Or how about saying "hi" to employees while they look you in the eye and act like they never heard you? Or managers telling employees they are "getting up and going to the bathroom too much"? The last thing I'll mention is the bonus structure. Your bonus is dependent on whether the department does well. Envirobrite/EPAC hires third party vendors to consult on business affairs and determine if employees get a bonus. We were told all year long by the third party that we would receive a bonus. When was the payment for the bonus was way over due, people asked why no one had received anything. The company said the third party had made an error and that no nobody deserved a bonus afterall. This is very unfair when you've been promised something for a long time, and your company fails to deliver.

Pros

It is a family company. We all get along and we respect and appreciate each others values and commitment to the company. We all have a vested interest in the performance of our organisation. This allows us to watch for each other trough positive dialog and communication. This is instilled to us by the founders.

Cons

Trying to find talent that will allow us to expand with personal that understands entrepreneurship is very hard to find. But we are hopeful in the pursuit for associates to add to our team, that want to make a difference and become part of a remarkable company.
