Pros

I got to be a shoulder for employees to cry on. Veteran employees much need new shoulders.

Cons

After my 'incident' at NoVisionTEC, I was fired for standing up for myself. Then, shortly after being escorted out of the building, I was called on my cell by the shift supervisor (he liked me because I didn't cower to the CEO). He asked what happened and I explained to him in detail including a variety of expletives aimed at the Chief Executive Oppressor. A few hours later the same supervisor called again and had to apologize for ending our call so abruptly. He then said that the CEO had been listening in on the first call and heard everything I said. A few weeks later my unemployment claim had been denied due to unethical behavior toward the CEO thus the firing was warranted. I challenged the denial through the normal bureaucratic means and was issued a hearing. The CEO was supposed to show up to defend his claim that I used fowl language. However, he did not show. The same supervisor met me there instead. Through the course of the hearing, the judicial party was savvy enough to detect where I was going with my argument and eventually asked, 'did the CEO witness said fowl language before or after the firing?' The supervisor had to tell the truth and answered AFTER.... while he was listening to the phone call after he departed. Unemployment benefits were instantly granted to me by the judicial body. Here is where the story gets to why this review has its title. A few months after receiving unemployment benefits, I got a cease and desist letter from our glorious villain chief. He claimed that a particular review I wrote on Glassdoor was defaming and libelous. His attorney demanded that I remove my review. However, since Glassdoor did not reveal to him the authors of the plethora of negative reviews, his attorney blamed me for the wrong review. Since I was still in the fighting mood, I retained my own lawyer and was willing to defend the content in my review because it was truthful to the best of my character. Two weeks later I received another letter from opposing counsel: 'I am leaving EnvisionTEC and there will be no further efforts to enforce the demand by myself.' Later I spoke to that attorney and we joked about how awful the CEO was, not only to him but to everyone. He also mentioned a campaign to have current employees write counter reviews to the negative ones on Glassdoor. All positive reviews have been fabricated at the CEO's direction in order to appear equitable to future investors.
