Pros

Salary and Benefits. Using google suite was nice.

Cons

You can tell the culture is toxic because everyone acts on edge all the time. Don't stick out too much or you'll be targeted. HRBPs all get together from multiple departments and loudly gossip in large communal dining areas. EFX is a big strong company with poor leadership. So they brought in new VPs to lead, the new VPs brought in their buddies they worked with at previous organizations. They restructured massive parts of organization, changing so swiftly and expecting immediate compliance and ignored any thoughtful objections. The new structure of this part of the organization meant moving employees to different teams or departments and bringing new people aboard. Through this time period they recalled everyone back to the office, three days in and two days out. In a town hall, an employee asked him why the change when both employee moral and productivity was high. The VP laughed at him and then declared that this is what it is and if you don't like it then get out. What a way for a new employee to treat the hundreds of people under him, many of whom have been with Equifax for a decade or more. After five years under his and his following's leadership, the decision was made to restructure again, resulting in layoffs across the board. People who had been at Equifax for ten plus years were walked out as well as people who had only recently joined - meaning they had left their previous roles for this new opportunity that decided to let them go. Good luck finding a new role quickly in this market. After the VP made left his 'mark' over the course of five years, he left. What an experience. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Absolutely no regard for people, which is not unexpected in corporations, but to prioritize appearing like they value individuals through spotlights, recognitions, videos, in every form of media sent around internally in the intranet WHILE simultaneously treating them as disposable and inconsequential throughout their tenure and dismissal is really shocking. It's embarrassing to say I used to work for them.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
