Pros

Relatively stable company and an industry leader. It treats its employees well with decent pay and good benefits (good severence pay as well when they do RIFs). Its a great place to have work-life balance and is good as a stable job if you are going to retire in a few years. There is some flexibility in moving around laterally particularly if you are in the company's country or world HQs. Middle and upper management are approachable for ideas and feedback.

Cons

Its not considered a cutting edge technology company. Carrier advancement is extremely difficult unless you have the right connections within the company. Folks from Sweden are given preference all other things being equal. The company is run like a government with lot of bureaucracy and lack of flexibility and agility for change. Flexible work practices such as working from home are discouraged (even for roles that do not need constant onsite interaction). There are lot of layers of inefficiencies that makes one wonder if upper management is oblivious to it or is tolerating it for political reasons. Both middle and upper managers range from highly competent to completely incompetent (and managing upwards). If you are aggressive about career advancement and are willing to put in the extra effort, then this is not the right place for you. No personalized bonuses.

Pros

-Technological superior to most other companies with use of AI and promising future tech/programs -benefits and pay are very competetive -room for professional growth and advancement if you know how to work in a corporate environment -resume development and professional advancement

Cons

-leadership ideology doesnt match the company/CEOs mission statement or belief (company is said to be all for safety yet leaders get put in charge and quickly dismantle and lay off 3 quarters of the safety department) -Leadership changes structure to benefit themselves by having all support functions report to them instead of the CEO, this ensures all support functions take a back seat to production and financial gain to include their employees well being -Company restructured and reorganizes very often while showing no loyalty to the employees who work hard and want to stay, this leads to turn over of great employees.
