Pros

Colleagues can be really great, fantastic people to work with. The People team has gone through significant layoffs and a big portion of the work in the last couple of years has been reductions and layoffs but together, the team worked through it. The culture of the team is great- if you are in the head office region. If you are outside of it, or in a remote location, you will feel isolated. Employees who are in the US are preferred and get more attention, increases, and career growth.

Cons

Unfortunately the current management team in the US/Plano is the weakest that I experienced in the several years working at Ericsson. They are not connected to the reality of their team or what their day to day is like. Performance management is very weak, particularly with one of the leaders under the Head of People. I have never had such a poor experience with a leader. my first 2 managers at Ericsson valued me and supported me and providided feedback, one on ones. In order for the People Team to be successful, they must put in strong leaders who are connected to their team and sees their stengths. -Salaries are not equitable; very big variation in the salaries given to employees doing the same work. -Leaders in the US are not strong enough to support remote teams. The system is set up to fail. - Those who truly speak up are ultimately punished for it. If you do not comply and fit into a mould, you will be terminated . -Ericsson says they value work life balance, but they have laid off/fired women with young families at a higher percentage than anyone else. They favor young emloyees with no kids, or those without the responsibility of young kids. -For this role in North America, prepare to put in significantly more than 40 hours per week if you want to keep your job,

Pros

The company culture is great. Super flexible, remote work culture and tons of different areas or career paths to pivot into. International company with offices in 180 different countries. Loads of diversity.

Cons

Many teams can be international, so timezones will conflict a lot and make it much harder to work with people who are overseas as they are logging off as you are getting on. This also causes communication issues as sometimes there can be language barriers.

Pros

-Technological superior to most other companies with use of AI and promising future tech/programs -benefits and pay are very competetive -room for professional growth and advancement if you know how to work in a corporate environment -resume development and professional advancement

Cons

-leadership ideology doesnt match the company/CEOs mission statement or belief (company is said to be all for safety yet leaders get put in charge and quickly dismantle and lay off 3 quarters of the safety department) -Leadership changes structure to benefit themselves by having all support functions report to them instead of the CEO, this ensures all support functions take a back seat to production and financial gain to include their employees well being -Company restructured and reorganizes very often while showing no loyalty to the employees who work hard and want to stay, this leads to turn over of great employees.
