Pros
The kids and families were all very friendly and inviting.
Cons
The main reason for leaving was because of all of the false promises i was made in my interview. I was told i would work 4 10 hour days with a set day off every week, which i quickly learned from other employees does not happen. They have you work longer days and do not have a consistent day off every week. I was told i would have my own classroom - come to find out, i was going to be “co-teaching” but really i was just there to help as an assistant to the other teacher. The director talked poorly about other employees to me on several occasions within my first days working there. There were a lot of very unhappy employees. There was a day that there were 5 different assistants in and out with me before noon. No consistency. The food they serve the kids is basically a microwave meal, and snack consists of barely anything (for example, 2-3 crackers and half a slice of American cheese, with a sip or two of water). There were many occasions where they were not following licensing guidelines (ex: turning and walking away from a child on the changing table multiple times).
