Pros

-great mission -seemingly quick sales cycle (due to that mission) -good PR -many great colleagues

Cons

-zero transparency -unclear company structure -no collaboration -no native product: there is just a smashing of other software providers ie no true control over product roadmap or innovation abilities -no emphasis placed on customer service: much of what was being promised was not being delivered to customers with almost zero remorse on the part of leadership -there is a real desire to achieve massive goals, but there is no confidence in authority in order to execute -opposing ideas are met with blatantly ignoring those ideas and/or negative perception of the individual with the ideas from leadership

Pros

Inspiring Mission: Esusu’s mission to promote financial inclusion and help underserved communities is truly commendable. It’s rewarding to work for a company that aims to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Rent Relief Program: The rent relief initiative has been a significant draw for clients and has helped many individuals during challenging times. It’s a program that aligns well with the company’s mission. Dedicated Team: Many employees are passionate about the work they do and are committed to driving the company’s mission forward.

Cons

Internal Silos: There’s a noticeable lack of cross-departmental collaboration, which creates inefficiencies and hinders progress. Breaking down these silos could improve overall productivity and morale. Client Misalignment: Many clients seem primarily interested in the rent relief program and the potential return on their investment, rather than Esusu’s core offering of rent reporting. This misalignment could pose challenges for long-term sustainability. Uncertain Future: With the rent relief fund running low and the company’s reliance on partnerships like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, there’s growing uncertainty about the company’s future. Several layoffs have also contributed to a sense of instability. Lack of Clarity: There’s limited transparency around how the rent relief program operates, which has caused confusion both internally and externally. Clearer communication would help build trust and alignment.
