Pros

Colleagues are genuine and friendly.

Cons

Working at Ethos has been one of the worse experiences in my life. From lack of guidance and no help to then being put under pressure despite having no help. This environment is terrible. Staff turnover is over triple what they typically have employed (upwards of 30 in the last year). Management do not listen and make fake promises. Blame is put on employees despite the systems being flawed. Pay is horrendous, they pay way under the national average for the roles, give rubbish commission and no job benefits AT ALL and then expect a high workload.

Ethos Technology Response

no benefits?? Ethos provide free lunches, drinks fridge, work nights out all expenses paid, Pool tables, table tennis, arcade machines. training weekly with Vendors and sales trainers, unfortunately the business made some bad hires including sales management/sales agents who weren't vetted properly and shouldn't have been hired in the first place. this has now been rectified as the sales function has been moved to a different location due to lack of local talent available in IT. A new experienced sales manager has been appointed, building a stronger team with relevant skill sets. Ethos have had multiple staff leave the business and come back, so must be doing something right.

Pros

Is Ethos the perfect place to work with no challenges. No, because without challenges a company like ethos wouldn't be here. ethos was originally set up to challenge the norm of IT distribution and that involves a learning curve for owners and employees alike. What is very good about ethos is that you are encouraged to meet these challenges and support is there if needed. What ethos is not is a kindergarten for people who don't want to even find these challenges to meet them. My personal experience with the management has been one of very good ups and occasional downs (I am yet to ever work anywhere where there are occasional downs from management) but the underlying tone is they want the employees to do well as that will make the company do well. When I came back to ethos after a period away one of the deciding influencers on me was remembering that when my grandad was on his deathbed...the owners of the company without a thought just told me to go and be with him. there wasn't even a pause for thought....that should show that they genuinely have their employees wellbeing in their vision. Yes we have had nights out, yes there is training available but this does involve self learning too and is not spoon fed because if an employee cant take advantage of the resources available to self learn, they are not going to be particularly motivated for the job either.

Cons

I don't think successes are shouted about enough internally and there is some resistance in some areas to make life easier for the sales staff. Career progression in the sales team and in general needs to be looked at,
