Pros
- Everyone is incredibly self-motivated. This means you can trust your colleagues to do an amazing job, and to pitch in and help you/your team if it's needed.
- At a relatively early stage, Even is taking the time to thoughtfully build an environment that encourages criticism and empathy in equal measure.
- There is a high bar for what's expected of you. No one accepts anything less than your best work.
- People at Even are extremely intellectually curious. It's impossible not to learn by osmosis!
Cons
- There's a limited amount of communal space, so it can be hard to have organic conversations with your colleagues (especially if you're a bit shy, which I am.)
- There will be times when you need to shelve non-essential elements of your personal life to take care of business
- If you're an Advisor, you should be prepared for a rotating schedule. Since the company offers great support coverage for members all across the United States, it means you could be working anywhere from a little bit before 6am to shortly after 7pm. This is not so much a con as it is a challenge that you should be ready for if you're particular about your sleep schedule.
