Pros
The clients are some of the most greatest people I’ve come to care for.
Cons
Where do I begin. Administration is just terrible. They do not support they’re employee unless they’re hands are tied or was authorized by the state. There is no appreciation for any work done. They are more mindful to the easier group homes to manage and turn they backs on more difficult homes. Most homes are understaff so be prepared to be moved from time to time. Don’t expect to be rewarded ever, except for some nasty Christmas cookies. Forget holidays with families, they will run you dry if you let them. The raises they give are joke, no bonuses. And if they do offer a bonus, better expect some strict rules to be rewarded with it. Don’t get me started with their rigorous, over the top, inspections. Long term staff is rare. So get used to people coming in and out that you have to train or know little to nothing about what they need to do. There are cameras everywhere ! They say it’s for client safety, we all know the truth to that. And if you want to move it, better get connected with the inner clique. Word of advice, just go work somewhere else.
