Pros

There is absolutely nothing at all.

Cons

Quite truly the worst place to work imaginable. The managers are rude and so openly disrespectful and the pay is laughable. I steward at the ice rink as well and I will be told to skate for 2.5 hours continuously with no one to relieve me and without a break, and this is on top of having to skate for the early session too which is an hour. This means I am skating for 3.5 hours and I am not even earning a living wage. The staff atmosphere is just horrible and toxic and I can’t even quit because I so desperately need the money. Shifts are only assigned based on how much managers like you, and if they deem your performance lacking then you will not be scheduled at all. This week I was only scheduled 4 hours. I am told to clean the entire building even though that was not in the job description at all, and we have a contracted cleaner. If you have any choice at all, please pick somewhere else to go. My mental health has genuinely never been worse since working here.

Pros

Large company with options to relocate around the country, if you wanted to. Very good with health and safety procedures, majority of processes ready to be implemented.

Cons

Very sales driven. Targets, KPIs and profits are prioritised over colleagues and members. Sales team expected to give up personal time on end of month. You're expected to check and respond to emails when you're off or on annual leave. The company is very clique, you don't really progress unless you know someone in a senior role. Salary is always advertised as 'competitive' however, the pay doesn't justify the work you're required to do, or the extra time you work without pay. It's frown upon to claim for time worked outside of your contracted hours. There is no such thing as work life balance: you're expected to work day all the time and not be paid for it.
