Pros

* Can basically "leave" for the day ONCE all of your dogs are done (not necessarily picked up) * Weekly pay * Can have assistance if needed

Cons

* Demanding coworkers who will interrupt while you're grooming to go to the bathroom (bathroom is located inside of the grooming area) OR go through the back door to the expansion to the "training" and back daycare area * Water pressure isn't always the best (coworkers use hose outside to fill up mop buckets which will affect how much water you can use while bathing) * Smells horrible most of the time * Towels run out QUICKLY - you're sometimes going to be depended upon to wash towels yourself because management is too lazy to ask others or do it themselves * Limited kennel space AND sometimes the grooming kennels will be sourced out to hold "bad" daycare dogs because some coworkers aren't properly trained to handle disgruntled dogs * You will be shamed for taking breaks, at all * If you are quiet or keep to yourself you will be seen as an issue with an attitude problem (no exaggeration) * They expect you to work on Saturdays at the very least, so if you need time off on the weekend keep in mind they will probably take issue with that (management) * You will be expected to groom 6 dogs a day but there will be times management will add on dogs without your knowledge and you will be expected to complete those as well, and if you offer to reschedule you'll just be seen as a "problem" * There are no benefits so no health insurance or anything like that * THEY DO NOT TAKE TAXES OUT OF YOUR PAY - so basically you'll end up with a 1099 NEC form and will end up owing on taxes
