Pros

I have been working at Puget Sound Surgical Center full-time for a number of years now. For the most part I love my coworkers and as far as what we do for patients it couldn't be more rewarding. Helping people reach their goals whether surgically or non surgically is so rewarding and there is nothing like it! This practice is one of a kind really! As far as costs it appears to be cheaper in all disciplines than going anywhere else. Ie with cosmetics, orthopedics, Bariatrics, medical weight loss and sleep medicine!

Cons

Being one of kind means lots of uncharted territory to map out and being a multi disciplinary practice there is a lot of moving parts always. Very little stabilization the past few years. Not the pay I am seeking for me or my family but will have to do for now. Seems to be misplaced value with mediocrity being rewarded more often than not. Poor communication and no HR that anyone feels comfortable enough or is able to trust to do anything when push comes to shove (always sides with management despite the proof in the pudding).

Pros

Every employee is a joy to work with. During the pandemic the administration was supportive above and beyond.

Cons

Is the best organization I have ever worked for. I have no cons. It is great!

Pros

Amazing surgeons, amazing staff, amazing patients.

Cons

Decisions made by owners that destroy morale, divide teams, disseminate the company are impulsive and destructive. Nepotism is abysmal. The good ole boy style, sweeping allegations of sexual harassment under the rug and allowing said manager to continue in the role, unacceptable. Hiring unqualified managers to manage clinical staff with no background in health care. MA's working out of their scope of practice and discovering that some MA's didn't have proper state certifications or registrations to even work in the capacity of a MA. Arbitrary salaries. Promises of raises and bonuses with no follow through or organization. Very dysfunctional working environment. Secretive decisions, no communication, no collaborative decision making, no budget, no financial transparency, no staff recognition, no trust. Governing board consists of only the 2 owners and no outside advisory committee. No on-boarding process for new employees, this includes new managers. So many negatives. This is a very poorly managed company at the highest level.
