Business outlook
Pros
- Professional colleagues; good people-development
- Leadership who does try to think things through to resolve organizational and business challenges; is strategic and not only reactive
- Committed to inclusiveness and diversity
-Proactive in adjusting to new realities, such as shift to allow remote work through designed mobility levels
Cons
- Home-country bias
- As an industrial firm, compensation upside is limited relative to other economic sectors. Recent increase favoring those newer to a role than those who may have been in same role a long time

Thank you for your feedback. We are very pleased that you have a generally positive view of Evonik, and we have passed your comments to the concerned departments. Your Evonik Team
Pay is good, bonuses are low, benefits have decreased every year
Lunch in cafeteria is great
Shift relief time was good, had enough time after work to be with family
We sure miss Bonnie out there , she’s great.
Cons
Micromanaging - Extreme lack of trust
Overall morale for the whole site is way down starting from 2018
Bias
Backstabbing
Incompetency - certain employees promoted to next level without actually knowing or understanding the process
No work life balance, we’re told that doesn’t apply to production workers. Overtime hours avg 400-700 hours a year
No room for employee growth or thoughts on process productivity/troubleshooting acknowledged if you’re not in the clique
3-2-2-3 shift schedule swapping from nights to day each time led to overall fatigue. Needs to be 2 weeks of nights and 2 weeks of days.
HR is an overall joke, they used to be superb until COVID and the new site manager.
Preach safety but turn a blind eye when it’s convenient to reach production. Then fault the operators or maintenance personnel if something happens.
