Pros
You get to work with great peers who also become your personal friends.
Cons
This company used to be one that's exciting to work for. This environment quickly died ever since the CEO decided to bring people back to office, because he is insecure about how the employees perform while working from home.
The reality? The constant chatter and noises throughout the office distract you from doing actual work, hence decreased productivity. And there is absolutely no difference in the level of collaboration between taking zoom calls in the office vs at home.
Con #2: Everything has to go through the micromanaging CEO, big or small. He does not trust his executives to make their own decisions. In order to approve something, it can only be done when he feels like it (usually at the very last minute), and when he's in the the right mood to do so.
Con #3: No career advancement. They would rather hire someone new to be your manager than promote one from within.
