Pros

+ Staff are great people who genuinely care; everyone helps one another. + Boss is very knowledgeable and is a great advocate for refugees. + Quality services provided to refugees by Exodus. + Inclusive, DEI-focused culture at the agency. + Meaningful, fulfilling, and unique work. + Work-life boundaries are encouraged by management, encouraging flexing of time if you're on track to go over 40 hours in a week. + Excellent job experience and development of various skills for young professionals in the field of social work. + Good benefits. + Hourly—not salary—wages for R&P Case Managers, which can actually be nice when you get time-and-a-half for going over 40 hours.

Cons

- Cannot access PTO for first six months. - PTO in the first year is pro-rated, and the first six months of work doesn't count towards this (more on that in "Advice" section below). - While work-life boundaries are encouraged by management, this is not always realistic; the workday can be unpredictable, resulting in long days. - As is the case with so many social work jobs, you need to be okay with constantly feeling behind on your work. - Not a lot of room to move up with only a Bachelor's degree. - Rarely any time for professional development. - High burnout/turnover rate because the work can become exhausting. - Pay rate is okay, but not great.

Pros

The work environment is incredible and offers the opportunity to learn so much. The legal team is fantastic!

Cons

The position doesn’t really have cons per se. You get what you sign up for.
