Just what i needed! - Anonymous employee EyeMD EMR Healthcare Systems Employee Review

I've been with EyeMD EMR Healthcare Systems, Inc. longer than any other employer in my career. This team is great - not perfect, but truly awesome. Good people, through and through. An extremely talented group. It's a privately owned company, so the boss gets to be "the boss". There are no shareholders or investors to muddy the waters. The clarity in the ultimate goal is not just stated but actually lived by the staff, all the way up to the owner: Take care of the client. It's pretty simple really, but if you do right by people, they'll do right by you. It really makes for a great work environment and the clients sense it too. The level of collaboration and respect between the company and it's clients is really pretty amazing. The benefits are great (for real great) and we have a lot of fun as a group. Knowing what's coming for this company is exciting stuff. The next few years are going to be fun to be around for.

No workplace is perfect, but man do they try. You're not a number here (which is great) but you have to pull your weight and because it's a consolidated team, it's hugely obvious when you don't. Not only will leadership immediately notice but it's pretty likely that your coworkers will get annoyed too. Don't be that guy. Just show up, ask for help when you need it and do your best. The path for advancement leaves something to be desired. In fairness it's a growing company and you have to be willing to grow along with it in whatever capacity is available to you.

The Owner and IT manager are both wonderful people, your IT knowledge will increase threefold under the IT manager and the owner has a strong sense of right and wrong and would go to bat for you if you are deserving. It is rewarding knowing your hard work is going towards a deserving family and was a blessing for the time I was there. The employees are ALL good people, and you will be a better person with your interactions with them, which is also a major blessing. The owner will let you into his life, which I never found at another company, I felt like he was my friend which will make you want to work hard and take the hits from some unruly doctors. The owner is a major Pro for this job.

It is a small company, who works hard and who does not is obvious and amplified which can cause negative emotions. Technical Support department will be the hardest and busiest job you will ever have. Depending on your personality it may be a con or it may not.
