Pros
The Bank recently merged with the Seattle Bank in what was a huge effort by both organizations in an extremely aggressive schedule. This experience was an excellent example of people coming together, working hard, and achieving what was described by some as being "impossible." This has been a transformative time in the culture of the Bank. In particular, the Information Technology function has turned around from being a perceived bottleneck, to an agile, trusted organization capable of delivering business value at a pace that exceeds demand. In return, the business divisions have really stepped up to the plate to invest their time and energy in developing business and technology solutions. There is a great deal of energy, investment, and success around technology and improving the business environment.
Cons
There is a tendency toward analysis paralysis and too great a focus on consensus-building.
