Somewhere in here there’s a “mission” - Analyst FINRA Employee Review

Pros

Some of the nicest and most helpful people, but fewer as they keep getting laid off or pushed out because of toxic leadership. The mission is a high priority for some. Great place to work for a very short time, then go.

Cons

Poor leadership, constantly changing without taking any time to understand impacts. Decisions only benefit a small group of friends who only respect other former FBI agents and their contributions. Morale is in the gutter and it comes off as intentional. Women are disappearing from management ranks and only tolerated as long as they are agreeable. People get resources based on popularity with the in group so some teams burn out while others have little to do.

Pros

The hybrid work schedule and the flexibility I am afforded in addition to excellent benefits.

Cons

Lots of folks don't do their job and aren't let go.

Pros

- WLB is very good, office is easy to get to, coworkers are smart and great to work with - You are often in a position of not having enough work to do, and it's a good company to coast

Cons

- FINRA technology primarily hires through contracting agencies, and now we are being told that there is no path to full time, with contractor conversions suspended indefinitely. This is obviously not ideal, since contractors have no PTO, limited health insurance, and it seems like they are in a lower payband compared to FTEs. - Pay does not keep up with cost of living, and seems like raises are limited to nonexistent for contractors - Technology is very rigid in terms of management structure; functionally, product and analysts report to engineering, as engineering managers make all the big decisions and hold more sway in the organization
