Pros

The top 10-12 managers are treated pretty well. If you can make it to that level, there is a career to be made. Benefits for management staff are great. The company pays 100% of the cost of medical insurance, but only for that tier of employees.

Cons

Little to no job security. Do not make any mistakes, as even the smallest thing will result in fairly harsh discipline, including suspensions. Entry-level to mid-level wages are below market averages. The wages are based on contracted rates, and the company sets wages near minimum wage so they can underbid competition. On top of that, most hourly employees are only scheduled to work about 30-35 hours/week as "full-time employees", while salaried manager often are made to work 55+ hours, since they are not paid overtime. The medical insurance for low level employees is pitiful. There is a sense of nepotism among management, with several related individuals in supervisory positions. This results in several inept managers staying in their positions despite numerous costly errors. There is barely any supervisory training, and room for advancement, as promotions are decided by how upper management feels about you at the time, and not on body of work or merit. The hiring process is stringent, as the main client, FedEx, requires 10-year background checks through the FBI and TSA. Put all this together, and you have understaffed, underpaid entry level positions, being supervised by underpaid, overworked first-line managers, who report upper management that is sparing on promotions and harsh on discipline.

Pros

If you like your coworkers then that would be the only pro FPG can offer.

Cons

It's obvious from the attitude from corporate that FPG is going down the drain. They've either downsized their HR department or everyone walked out. Hiring is impossible between HR taking several MONTHS (I wish I was exaggerating) to hire on new employees and the laughably low pay. Most people quit after their first day-the work is not worth the pay. It's a revolving door for a reason. Also found out that FPG still gets paid for empty positions so they DO NOT want to hire on people. They will work you to death without hesitation then complain when they can't get applicants.
