I've worked more than 5 years at Fairphone already (and counting), I can highly recommend to work at Fairphone. Very motivated, professional and fun colleagues. Great mission to change the industry, high ambitions for sustainability and transparency. Over the years the company has grown and professionalized. Management team is much more transparent about how the company is doing than Ive experienced in previous companies, and invites input from workers on the strategic direction. Positive of working in a scale-up with high ambitions is that you have freedom and room to shape your role and execute your tasks in a way that works best for you. Very flexible in remote vs at the office working and working hours.
Cons
Downsides of working at a scale-up, social enterprise with high ambitions: high work pressure (there is always more to do). You need to be mindful of your work/life balance, though management does encourage a good work/life balance. Salaries are not the highest in the market, they are average.
