Pros
While working for a nonprofit can be frustrating, this agency does a great job of supporting their staff in ways that many people could not imagine. Before the Covid Chaos, I was getting ready to apply for certification and Family Wise offered to pay for many of the fees that are entailed. Family Wise offered me to create a schedule that fits my life style with school, internship, family, and traveling. I truly respect Family Wise's Administration team as they are amazing at going out of their way to communicate with all the employees, really made me feel like part of a team. They stopped using a crappy number rating system for performance reviews. PTO is pretty good. They do not shove ideas down your throat, especially religious beliefs.
Cons
Family Wise policies make it truly easy for some of the staff to get away with not doing their job to support their participants/clients. Sometimes it is too focused on billing when part of the problem can be the contracts between the agency and the various counties. Some of the policies around using PTO are overbearing.
