Pros

While working at Fanhouse, I’ve noticed the entire team really cares about their employees and definitely puts mental health at the forefront. They want to make sure you are always doing well, and if you need more hours or less hours. They just always wanted to make you feel as comfortable as they could. Speaking of hours, they were also really great. As a community manager, I got to decide when I would work on content and got to create my own schedule which was nice. Sometimes I do wish there was a more set schedule handed to me just since I’ve relied on that with past jobs, so it was an adjustment, but a good adjustment. The team was always understanding and helpful.

Cons

As far as I can tell, the only con would be the adjustment I had to make from having a set schedule at past jobs to setting my schedule as a community manager. Like I said in pro’s, I really appreciated being able to set my own schedule and have a good work/life balance but it took a bit to get into the swing of things in that sense.

Pros

- good pay. I got paid $20/hour for a part-time marketing role while in school - high-impact work. I feel like you really get to work on something that feels meaningful. I get to talk to creators and see how the work I do is helping them and it feels like you get to change lives and that the company makes decisions that are really creator-first and people-first. The company's first cultural value is creator-first which shows - good team and good people. Everyone is empathetic and understanding, good attitude towards things like mental health days or burnout, but everyone is also very hardworking. Team is also very diverse, a lot of women and people of color

Cons

- can be high-pressure or chaotic, a lot is always happening or changing that you need to get used to and be able to adapt quickly to, not like a normal large company where day-to-day does not often change
