Pros

-The company is in a well sought after location in the city centre of Derby (Cathedral Quarter) and employees have the benefit of free parking, which can also be used outside of working of hours. -On your birthday, the company gives you half a day off, so you can enjoy the afternoon to celebrate your day of birth. -The majority of the people I worked with were really lovely and supportive and we were able to have a lot of banter to get us through the day. -Each quarter the company really celebrates it's staffs successes and gives prizes to the deserving individuals for all their hard work. Prizes include bottles of wine and glass trophies. -The company strives to invest time and money into good causes. It is inspiring to see such a small company doing such big things to support charities and the local community.

Cons

-High turn over of staff. Although I understand that this is normal for this industry, employees of Farsight tended to leave abruptly after a meeting with management in the meeting room, which in turn created an uneasy working environment. I even heard a long standing member of staff say that "heads would roll" whenever management went into that room. -Targets were forever changing due the high turn over of staff mentioned and pressure was put on the rest of us to meet these, even though headcount was down. Although this kept us on our feet and eager to achieve, they were unrealistic and far out of sight. -Management was friendly and approachable and they allowed employees to voice any issues and concerns with them, even if this meant challenging a process or direction of management. However if management did not agree with a concern, the general consensus amongst staff is that their attitude would change towards that particular individual. This was a shame to see as the company proclaimed they valued feedback and seeked innovation from their staff. It discouraged others from wanting to make positive changes. Overall I really enjoyed working at Farsight, I was part of a really great team. This would have been an A* place to work if management valued their employees a little better and were open and honest with them and not so much cloak and dagger.

Pros

It's a real environment where we care for one another and want the success of the business to shine through. We have quarterly awards to recognise stand out employees. Weekly we recognise one another for one of our "rules of the game" or for going "above and beyond". We're a team who really cares for one another. The management are very supportive and can't help enough if you need it (whether that's work related or personal.) The atmosphere is always motivating and everyone can have a little sing to the radio - I can't imagine working anywhere without one now!

Cons

If you're not self-motivated and resilient to knock backs, it's not for you... It's a sales world and can be tough at times. However, if you are resilient and self-motivated, it's a great place to work where you can earn some fantastic commission - the sky really is your limit! It can get loud in the office so be prepared to have to try and drown out background noise to zone in and focus.

Pros

I love working at Farsight Recruitment, the atmosphere in the office is great, everyone is friendly and helpful and want to help each other. The CEO really encourages a good home / work life balance and is very open and approachable. The management is amazing and there is nothing they won't do for you. There are lots of different bonuses you can get throughout the year which range from a bottle of wine to a trip to Vegas if you're above target. Benefits package is brilliant, with free massages or gym membership. Honestly couldn't encourage anyone enough to work there if given the opportunity.

Cons

The office is in the centre of Derby which can be a little hard to get in and out of in rush hour!
