Pros

10.50 an hour Floating Holiday Good Compensation and Benefits At times a nice easy college job, show up on time, greet customers kindly, help them make copies and then when its slow its just you and a bunch of buzzing machines and a coworker to talk too. Nights like that make 10.50 an hour very easy! Other days 10.50 isn't enough so I think it balances out.

Cons

Center Manager can't ever get a schedule out but maybe 3 days before the next week starts. How can you plan around that. Ridiculous amounts of paper work for each order, makes doing the order take twice as long. Unreachable expectations for greeting and pursuing every single customer. Team Meetings every other Saturday night from 9-10 Very hard for a college student to commit too. Not really any ability to move up to corporate after graduating. You have to go Customer Consultant-LC-Assistant Manager-Center Manager and then maybe move up but that alone could take you 5+ years. Where is the College Degree helping in this? So much online training it feels like your in an extra college course. College Degree not important to FedEx. Which only sucks for those that are pursuing degrees. FedEx is one of those companies that treats you like FedEx should be your #1 Priority and that they should be the most important thing in your life. Its hard to fit anything else into your life when FedEx gives you 9-10 hour shifts daily.

Pros

Good work life balance, hours are flexible, team members are pretty nice overall, benefits are good, company is stable and job security is good

Cons

Way too many things to remember, they say “you don't have to remember everything, just know where you can figure it out” and thats all fine and good but there are so many places to go and you have to know where, and despite what they say there are things you cant find anywhere and just have to know, so many systems are just confusing and have no real guidelines to follow, and thats not to mention that every manager has there own places where they do it either the fedex way or their own way, and you never know until you get called out for doing something. Pay is also pretty low and the only way to make more is take on management roles
