Pros
The people you work with are great. There is so much bad here the only joy came from complaining about how bad this company is.
Cons
It would be very similar to working for the mafia. If you are "made" it doesn't matter what you do you will always get promoted, cars paid for, kids tuition paid. I'm not joking about this. If you are not "made" they will use you and then run you out. The GM was promoted from sales mgr after being caught on several occasions for sleeping with his subordinates. During the interview process they discussed it is very important to establish business relationships with clients and potential clients. This is a highly consultive sales business. In other words it takes time to close an account. Mgt treats this business as one call and close situations. If you have not closed a business within 3 months they give it to another rep to work. At this point the business is so confused on who they are working with they never sign. Turn over, especially in the sales department, is ridiculously high. I worked there for 1 1/2 years. When I started there were 30 sales reps working for 4 separate stations. By the time I left I was the 5th longest sales rep on the job. Another sales rep kept a list of all the people who have come and gone during his 3 years. The list was well over 125. There are no more than 40 total people working for this company. There is no auto allowance for Outside Sales Reps. The only reason to take a job here is if you have no other options. Besides you will be looking for a new job within months.
