Just Don’t - Sales Fellowes Brands Employee Review

Pros

Very nice family owned company

Cons

Sales structure heavily skewed towards big box brick/mortar retail. Very archaic view of sales outside of retail. Very conservative company limited investment and innovation in other sales outlets. Sales goals are laughable at best with no concept of competitive landscape and market conditions affecting mid thru enterprise level customers. Interview process is a tell tale sign of what’s to come. Be prepared to answer questions about how the Mouse pad, keyboard, screen filter, foot rest business is doing. Competitors are onsite with customers making relationships, sales has zero concept of why this is important (unrealistic goals?) Do your self a favor and look for the next opportunity.

Fellowes Brands Response

Thank you for leaving a review. We are really confident in our new, forward-thinking sales leader and team structure, and expect continued positive change in the areas that may need improvement. I also suspect the interview experience has greatly improved in the last 3-4 years as we have started to implement a more thoughtful and strategic approach in our conversations with potential candidates. We encourage you to bring any solutions to your leader - and we are always happy to help in HR. Feel free to stop by any time! - Becky Hogan, Talent Acquisition Specialist 630-671-5189 / rhogan@fellowes.com

Pros

Good health insurance and PTO. I enjoyed working with my peers.

Cons

Depending on what manager you get, watch out. HR sweeps all complaints under the rug when a manager is considered "indispensable". Complaints not just by me, but an ENTIRE TEAM. A manager who completely lacks people skills, only technical ones, shouldn't even be a manager.
