Pros

-Employees respect each other and help each other with problems they may face -The office's space is fully equipped with everything that someone may need during the working hours. Big plus that the kitchen is fully equipped too (free coffees etc) -Pet friendly office. Employees are more than allowed to bring their dogs at work. Big pro for someone who owns a pet. -The location of the office in central Athens -easy access with different options/ means of transport etc. -Private health insurance for employees

Cons

Sometimes there is the feeling that there is not balance between work/life. However, to sum up the company's culture is super.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We are so glad that you enjoy our well-equipped and pet-friendly office space, the team's comradery, and the Ferryscanner company culture as a whole. We aim to continuously create a fun and productive environment that our employees love and actually want to spend time at. So, we're thrilled that has been your experience. Regarding the work/life balance that you mentioned, this is a very important concept that we try to communicate daily to avoid employee burnout. While it's great to work hard and get things done during the day, it's even more important to be able to turn this part of the brain off after work and rest. If this is something you're struggling with, perhaps you can try speaking with your direct manager. They might be able to adjust things and help get your schedule back on track. Communication is key! Let's try to sort this out as soon as possible and improve your experience even further.

Pros

team that tries to stay supportive where possible. You may gain exposure to how legacy systems are duct-taped together at scale, if that’s a learning goal.

Cons

The tech stack is severely outdated, and engineering is held back by a lack of documentation, weak tooling, and an aversion to meaningful modernization. Career development is effectively nonexistent — no structured reviews, no technical mentoring, and promotions appear arbitrary or tied to internal cliques. Salaries are below market, and raises are rare or handled through opaque processes, if at all. Management shifts direction unpredictably. Engineers are often left responding to sudden changes without context, which disrupts project continuity. Internal politics can outweigh merit. Authority often comes from tenure or favoritism rather than skill or role — and engineers may find decisions dictated by non-technical voices. Work–life balance is fragile. While not always explicit, the pressure to respond, stay late, or absorb poor planning decisions without pushback contributes to long-term fatigue. Layoffs and fast firings — even of long-time staff — are known internally and create a sense of uncertainty that makes it hard to trust the environment.

Pros

Ido not see any positives.

Cons

1) Low salaries 2) Very ancient framework of app 3) Insufficient management (all of them non-tech people) 4) The company hiring people unnecessarily and in a year or less firing them in less than a day!!! It is a big red flag. Easy cases when they fired employees who worked more than 5 years! For that it was not a reason just strategy and policy of the company to find new cheap slaves. Highly do not recommend especially because of management politics. 0 - growth prospectives and stability. Management with such actions keeps the rest of people in a sort of fear. Highly do not recommend, especially because of management internal politics. The people inside just gossiping after about the fired people and understand that this is wrong which gives even more toxicity.
