Pros

If you're desperate for a paycheck, this place will do for a little while. JUST a little while. You'll see why.

Cons

Oh, my, where to begin. Let's start from the top down. The CEO is nothing more than a myth. Completely absentee, only has his name on the board to collect a huge fat paycheck. Yet, his benefits could easily support opening and maintaining an entire branch. Same goes for the Board of Directors; if not for their 'business trips', there'd be no indication of any connection with the company. The executives have a secret entrance/exit to the building, which really says it all. I've only seen 2 that do any work at all, and only 1 of those is known to make good decisions. She's the exception. The managers, by and large, have no clue what they're doing. The underlings (bankers, tellers, support) are constantly given conflicting information, because there's no cohesive training. You learn more by asking the people who've been there longest, only to find a week later that Management has changed procedures again, for no discernible reason. In general, innovation and efficiency are stifled. I've been reprimanded many times for trying to make processes go faster or smoother, and for generally trying to eliminate wastefulness.

Pros

Lots of opportunity if willing to work hard! New CEO is making great changes. Empowering staff, encouraging growth, taking better care of members and employees. This is definitely the place to work if you are looking for a long-term career! Great overall benefits package! Work/life balance encouraged!

Cons

Medical benefits are ok. Can be expensive with a family, but it is hard to find cost-effective medical plans at most employers. Compensation is slightly below national average, but still decent.
