There are a lot of consultants that work here- that immediately tells you that something is wrong. Also, there are a lot of people there with the title "Director of..." Why does everyone have to be a director but there seems to be no reference for vital information to solve problems?
There is a lot of posting of jobs but no one is "a great candidate" internally....which is partially due to nepotism and control coming from management. They pick who they want.
There is also a lot of micromanaging in the Accounting department. There are a few managers in the Accounting department that even have degrees but seem to always get promotions and review staff's work.
The Accounting department also has a lot of broken processes such as rent being deposited into wrong accounts and mapping errors that seems to never fade away. Working in this department adds no prestige to your skillset as all you do are bank recons throughout the month.
Finally, don't ever try to reason with HR concerning your issues that you have. It will result in you loosing your job.....trust me as I know!!!
