Pros

If you ask, you will get help (although with an attitude as if you are incompetent). You will learn to work in a fast paced demanding environment. Co-workers are friendly, young atmosphere that tends to be immature.

Cons

If you are not liked, you will not succeed. Advancement in career is not based on performance, but on how popular you are. If you are good at what you do, you are pigeonholed into staying in that position forever. Raises and bonuses are unheard of, FSR is not willing to pay the Financial Management Team what they deserve so there is low morale, everyone is generally unhappy. Since the financials are not regulated, there are no internal controls and you will not get good accounting experience here. The managers do not have their CPA or any real qualifications so there is not much to learn - accounting wise. Turnover is so high and no one takes the job seriously, just a pit-stop in their career. They will hire anyone with a pulse, so if you are desperate you will get hired but will be worked to the bone. Also, managers/employees will go into the Director's office to complain/gossip about other employees for hours on end (no exaggeration). It is so abnormal and strange and quite disturbing. Also will gossip with HR, makes the environment very uncomfortable.

Pros

They take good care of the office people

Cons

Field workers are second hand citizens. Nepotism by language. Promote people that don't have the skill sets to do the job. The people that have the common sense to be leadership at this point don't want the responsibility anymore. What does that say?
