Pros

A community of employers who are as excited to teach as its students are to learn, Five Points is that rare combination of idealism and realism where high goals are set and then achieved. Headed by some of the most passionate and inspiring people you'll ever meet, Five Points continually delivers on its promises and supports you as you push the boundaries of your own teaching. Working there you'll feel like part of a family of community spirit, a fellow crusader for education, and a valued contributor to inspiring kids to learn and grow. I was able to test run the kind of creative teacher I wanted to be when they asked me several years ago to create a class on anything I'd like to teach, and my students and I had so much fun that they brought it back year after year, encouraging me to continue to push myself to be the best educator I could be. Dedication, passion, and fun are the marks of a good instructor as well as tutoring center, and Five Points has them in spades.

Cons

I wish this hidden neighborhood gem was more well known!

Pros

You can really tell that the people who work here really care about what they're doing, and most importantly, about the students. All of the tutors and teachers work closely with the students to make sure that each can succeed, and because the classes are often small, it's very natural to form a strong bond with the students. There's definitely a lot of heart and soul to the work being done here, and everyone is extremely down-to-earth and supportive. Eddie and Damon definitely care, both for students and for the tutors.

Cons

Can be somewhat disorganized, especially with last-minute schedule changes, often on the part of students cancelling sessions.
